Is it worth fixing a water-damaged phone?
Damage occurs to some of the non-motherboard parts. This could be the power button, screen, battery, charging port, etc. If you can figure out which parts are defective, these are usually fairly simple to repair and won’t cause any issues. Hence ICFix Service provides Mobile chip-level training courses in Chennai.
On the motherboard, several parts can become shorted out and suffer irreparable harm. In essence, this makes your phone a paperweight (you can do some soldering shenanigans, but they often need to be more practical from a cost standpoint).
In the motherboard, some wiring corrodes and leaves gaps in other circuitry. Frequently, this can be fixed, at least temporarily. The main issue with water damage is that it rarely occurs all at once.
Imagine a car that is rusting. The first winter you drive your automobile on salt-coated roads, it doesn’t rust. But, you start to notice rust after ten years of winter driving. The rust then grew a little every year. It gradually changes over time.
The same thing occurs with water-damaged cell phones, although we’re talking days or weeks here instead of years. A sonic cleaner and an electronics-safe cleaning solution can be used to thoroughly clean everything. By doing so, 95% of all rust and dirt might be eliminated. But the remaining 5% moves around. It gradually begins to grow over the period of a week, a month, or three months just like rust on a car. Eventually, it will spread to the point where your wifi stops working, your camera breaks, your phone stops charging, the screen goes black, or a combination of all those things.
This largely relies on your goals. The answer is no if you anticipate receiving a fully functional phone that functions flawlessly and does so for the ensuing two years. Your water-damaged phone shouldn’t be repaired because you’ll probably be disappointed with the outcome.
The following are the two scenarios in which I believe pursuing water damage restoration is worthwhile:
Your phone has some vital information that isn’t backed up, such as images. We may remove this data from your phone with our water damage repair.
You want to sluggishly complete the race because you anticipate upgrading your phone soon. You don’t mind if some of the features don’t work (or work for a while and then go out).
We do provide a service to repair phones with water damage. Yet, since that is what we are providing, we refer to it as data recovery. Regarding the functionality of the phones either immediately after or in the future, we make no guarantees. Our repairs for water damage are not covered by a warranty.
This is because our major objective is to revive your phone sufficiently so that we may remove your data. Any added functionality is welcome, but neither its occurrence nor its durability can be guaranteed.
On phones with water damage, we make the following promise: We won’t charge you anything if We can’t get the phone working well enough to retrieve your data.
I strongly recommend checking with the ICFix Service before enrolling in any courses. Contact: +91 81482 11211
